4 Million Imaginary Jobs

One no longer needs to read fiction books in order to transport oneself into an imaginary world. With the Obama administration, one needs to merely turn on the news in order to be transported to the land of make believe.

Now that the White House has announced the porkulus bill to be a "success", that this is the summer of "recovery", and that 4 million jobs were "created", they can all go back to drinking their kool aid. How refreshing.

Of course, this is all fiction. There is not one shred of evidence to support their claims. In fact, reality tells quite a different story. But a mere lack of facts doesn't stop all the leftist talking heads from rejoicing and metaphorically popping the champagne to spike their kool aid and whisk themselves away to the land of unicorns and leprechauns with pots of taxpayer's gold.

While conservatives may cling to their guns and religion, it is clear that leftists cling to their lies and hallucinations. While leftists may have reached the point of no return, let's look at some actual facts.

No jobs were created. None. Zilch. Zip. Nada.

In fact, if we add the total unemployed (14.6 million officially, plus 8.6 million and 2.6 million not counted), the unemployment is still at 26 million or 22% and has been for several months, according to the BLS reports.

Shadow stats provides a great chart of the real statistics.

Chart of U.S. Unemployment

What is even worse, is that the BLS reported that those jobless for 27 weeks and over was 45.5% or 6.8 million. If we add those not counted who are discouraged and stopped looking, that is 18.2 million out of 26 million people that are unemployed for over 6 months. That is hardly a cause for celebration.

It seems the leftists are actually skilled at destroying jobs, rather than creating them. This chart shows the high unemployment while democrats are in charge and the low unemployment when republicans are in charge. Unemployment from the democrats is the gift that keeps on giving, whether you want it or not.

No one can hide from reality despite how they so desperately try. If the White house declarations were true, and 4 million jobs were actually created, wouldn't we see an actual reduction in the number of unemployed?

Ah, but why let silly facts get in the way. When you are Obama, the Superzero, you continue to live a life of delusion and host a kool aid chugger summit on the White House lawn making statements with illusions of grandeur. I suspect that the 26 million people unemployed were not invited to the party, as they may have tried to submit applications for the 4 million imaginary jobs, forcing a leftist wake up call to the truth and no one likes a party pooper. But you can have all the kool aid you can drink. Bottoms up.
