Pelosi Jetsets for 2.1 million Paid By Taxpayers

I am sure Nancy Pelosi thinks she is something special. Well, I have looked at it from every angle, and can conclude that she is something alright, but not in a good way. For some reason only known to herself, she thinks she is above the rest of us. Perhaps the botox has infiltrated her brain and swapped her imagination with reality.

It isn't just Pelosi though, as they are all guilty. Between the house and the senate, they spent an estimated $13.7 million in one year for travel. How is this fiscally responsible?

"It has been reported that one estimate for travel expenses for House committees in 2009 was $8.7 million while the Senate reported about $5 million."

"Documents obtained under the Freedom of Information Act by Judicial Watch, which investigates and prosecutes government corruption, show Pelosi incurred expenses of some $2.1 million for her use of Air Force jets for travel over a recent two-year period."

Judicial watch provides us with a special treat, such as documents analyzing Pelosi's air force one spending. Just the fact that it qualifies for it's own report is telling enough.

Pelosi, along with the rest of the government, seem to think they are entitled to live the high life while the rest of us work for a living. It mirrors the royalty of monarchies for which the peasants were highly taxed to pay for the lavish lifestyles of those who deemed themselves to be "born of privilege".

While the Republic is not a monarchy, the sense of entitlement among the statists lives on in their ideology and actions. They also seem to ignore that they are elected by the governed, not rulers of the governed.

While those in the government seem keen on denying our true history and re-writing it to suit themselves, they should really be taking a long hard look at our true history and not what they want it to be.

A short history lesson might include the fact that there was a revolution of "the taxed", to declare their independence from such a monarchy, and that the revolution won. There is no such thing as being born into privilege and no such thing as an entitlement in a Republic which declares all are created equal.

Perhaps they should attend a third grade history class to learn that their job purpose is to represent the people of the Republic, not spending taxpayer's money like monarchists.

Frankly, it baffles me how in good conscience the statists can continue spending and living lavish lifestyles with the economy is such a dire state, yet attack the "wealthy" and "wall street" for the very irresponsible acts of out of control spending that the statists themselves commit.

Call me crazy, but with 26 million people unemployed, Pelosi and the rest of the government should have stayed home.
